How to come to Freiburg

Arrive by plane
- From Frankfurt/Main (ca. 2,25 hours by train)
This will probably be the best connection. From the airport's long distance train station there is at least one train every hour to Freiburg. The quickest and most comfortable (direct) connection is by ICE.

- From Stuttgart (1,5 hours by train)
- From Munich (4 hours by train)
- From Basel/Mulhouse (45 min. by bus)
Basel/Mulhouse, a very small airport is the closest. From there you can take the bus (direct connection to the Freiburg City Center, approximately 45 min.). The bus stop is opposite the Convention Center "Konzerthaus Freiburg". From here it is 3 minutes to go to University Freiburg where the conference take place.
Arrive by train
To Freiburg im Breisgau (take care to have booked your ticket to "Freiburg im Breisgau - Germany" since there is another (very small) Freiburg in the north of Germany and one in Switzerland).
- Freiburg - Stuttgart: 1,5 hours
- Freiburg - Frankfurt/Main: 2,25 hours
- Freiburg - Köln (Cologne): 3,25 hours
The train station in Freiburg is right in the city center of Freiburg. The "University Freiburg" is 3 minutes away from the train station.

Arrive by car
Travel on the "Autobahn A5" coming from Karlsruhe or Basel. Exit at the junction "Freiburg Mitte". From there it is about 10 minutes to city center of Freiburg which is signposted. The University has 2 basement garages with together 400 parking spaces.
